Bleachers. Walk the Moon. Lord Huron. The Generac Power Stage has some of the biggest names on this year's Summerfest performer lineup. And if you want a great view for some of these great shows – all while helping a great cause – you'll want to check out the newly announced Power Up with a Purpose pass.
The new access pass gets fans up into the front row area for the night's headlining acts at the Generac Power Stage. The passes can be purchased for any individual day of the fest, coming with an admission for that day of the Big Gig as well as access to prime position right in the front row pit for that night's headliner.
The Power Up with a Purpose passes cost $100 per person, per night, with all the money raised going toward the American Red Cross of Wisconsin – in particular toward a blood services vehicle to help transport staff and equipment to and from blood drives to hospitals and processing centers.
"We are excited to give back to the community with a great lineup of music on the Generac Power Stage,” said Aaron Jagdfeld, president and chief executive officer at Generac, in a release. "We’re also pleased to leverage our stage for the betterment of the community by offering fans the chance to Power Up with a Purpose and see their favorite acts up close, while helping a great cause right here in Wisconsin."
The Power Up with a Purpose front row passes are available now; to purchase a pass and to find out more information, click here.
The new access pass isn't the only way Generac is helping Summerfest fans make the most out of this year's edition and with good intentions. The Wisconsin-based generator company also is the lead sponsor for the Big Gig's expanded Military and First Responder Appreciation Day admission promo, letting in all veterans, active-duty military members, police, fire and EMT workers – along with up to four family members – for free from noon until 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 1. As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
