When you think of it, there really aren't many (or any) places for same-sex couples to go celebrate Valentine's Day in style (nope, not even the Sybaris).
But, this holiday, all that has changed. You can enjoy your partners' company in the swank style of Cuvèe Champagne Celebrations in the Historic Third Ward.
Whether you're looking to sneak away into the coziness of a candle-lit booth or dance the night away to the DJ's pounding beats from PUMP, you'll find it at Cuvèe.
The "Valentine's Gay-la" -- as it is being called -- will feature DJ music, go-go dancers, prize giveaways, food and a glass of bubbly for only $50. And, in the spirit of love, $5 from every ticket will be donated to the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center.
Owner of Cuvèe, Kim Floyd, says the event is about "celebrating love and not necessarily couples," so everyone is welcome -- gay and straight, single or coupled.
The fun starts at 6 p.m. and continues until the bar is closed. Cuvèe is located at 177 N. Broadway on the third floor above Artasia.
