So no one told you life was gonna include a local bar becoming a "Friends"-themed pop-up (clap, clap, clap, clap).

Indeed, City Lounge – the wildly creative, constantly shapeshifting Cudahy bar behind inventive pop-up concepts inspired by Harry Potter, "Star Wars" and, most recently, "The Office" – announced its next transformation, turning into a "Friends"-themed hangout Nov. 8-30, just in time to celebrate the hit sitcom's 25th anniversary.

Right now, the bar – found at 3455 E. Layton Ave. – is keeping its specific plans for the pop-up under wraps, but considering the amount of creativity and elaborate work that goes into each concept, let your imagination run wild. I imagine there will be some kind of Central Perk hangout, possibly a canoe to sit in and maybe even a fountain of sorts to host a dance party.

What we do know right now, though, is that entry will be free – though guests must be 21 or older – and that City Lounge will serve a special menu of custom "Friends"-inspired drinks for the occasion. (Hopefully none of them will be modeled after Rachel's Thanksgiving trifle.) Plus, for true "Friends" fans, City Lounge will host a duo of trivia nights at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14 and Thursday, Nov. 21. 

And as for costumes: unnecessary ... but you'd probably make a lot of friends of your own if you showed up in an excessively tight "Frankie Says Relax" T-shirt or wearing all of your roommate's clothes. Just saying ...
