OnMilwaukee Food Truck Fest is back, rolling more than 20 food trucks into one space near the Mid-Gate area of the Henry Maier Festival Park. But what’s on offer is not limited to the trucks themselves.
Here are a few more food options you can enjoy at this year’s Food Truck Fest, July 22, which as two sessions, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 4-8 p.m.
Hawaiian Shave Ice, a Summerfest favorite, will offer its familiar favorite flavors – blue raspberry, pina colada, cherry, watermelosn, pink lemonade, mango, kiwi, grape, lime, strawberry, peach and strawberry daiquiri – to help keep you cool. You can mix flavors, too!
The kiosk also carries water, Bubly seltzer, hot tea and other beverages.
You won’t be able to miss the Say Cheese Curd Co.’s bright yellow trailer, with its flaps up to bring you not only deep fried Wisconsin cheese curds, but also refreshing lemonade!
The trailer is a favorite at events all over the area, from Hart Fest in Tosa to Cedarburg’s Strawberry Festival and even up in Green Lake for the annual concert series.
OK, so My Funnel does actually work out of a truck, but that’s not the point. What is the point is that you can get that American festival classic – funnel cakes – based on German Drechderkuche at Food Truck Fest.
Look for the baby blue van and let your nose guide you, too! Once there, you’ll also find deeo fried Oreos, ice cream and more.
A West Allis Farmers Market favorite, Isa's Artesian Ice Cream will also be at Food Truck Fest, bringing its naive de garrafa, a Mexican treat similar to sorbet and ice cream that’s made with all natural flavors.
From elote to bubble gum, mango with chile to egg nog, soursop to strawberry, the range of flavors – both dairy and non-dairy – is amazing and alluring.
Bobalou’s Gourmet Pretzels has had numerous locations at Summerfest, from which it has sold its stuffed pretzels and traditional classics like Bavarian pretzels, too. You’ll also find refreshing frozen lemonade here.
Don’t miss out on Fazio’s popcorn, which is available from a bright red wagon in an assortment of options (and colors), including beloved favorites like caramel and cheese – and a mix of the two – but also in the unexpected rainbow mix called Unicorn Pop with flavors like grape, strawberry, pina colada and orange.
Catalano's is a name long familiar to Milwaukeeans, having gotten into the Brew City produce business in 1884. At Food Truck Fest, this long-lived Cream City company will be on hand selling fresh lemonade in the heart of the Third Ward, where it was founded all those years ago.
