Deer District may be a little quieter than usual due to the canceled Christkindlmarket and fanless Bucks home games at Fiserv Forum, but it won't be any less festive as the area transforms into "Cheer District" for the current holiday season.
To help light up the holiday nights, Deer District lit and decorated 31 trees – including a 25-foot Bucks-themed tree – across the plaza to give Milwaukeeans something festive to explore this unusual season. Deer District officially flipped the switch on its festive decorations earlier this week with a virtual lighting celebration, posted online on Fiserv Forum's Twitter as a sneak peek at the area's spirited new set-up.

It's yet another fun and festive exhibit to (safely and smartly) add to your to-do list and make the season feel still bright this year, along with the Holiday Lights Festival, Miller Lites, Winter Wonders at Boerner Botanical Gardens and Whitnall Park, and more.
And for other ways to keep your holiday holly as well as jolly, stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
