It’s Super Bowl week in fantasy football land, but many others are still playing for third or fourth place, or maybe draft position in the Toilet Bowl, so much remains at stake.

So, maybe you’re looking for that edge over a superior opponent, or you’re looking for that "boom" type player to give you an advantage in an evenly-matched game.

Here are some picks for week 16 – good luck!

Start ‘em

Kendall Wright, Tennessee Titans wide receiver vs. Jacksonville
The Jaguars made all kinds of news this weekend, largely because they managed to win enough games of late to actually have a shot at the playoffs. But, they’re still a team you can take advantage of fantasy-wise and Wright is a great play. He caught seven passes for 78 yards against Jacksonville six weeks ago and Wright is coming off a monster game (12 catches, 150 yards) against a decent Arizona secondary. You’re not chasing points here, just playing the odds. He’s getting just over 10 targets a game since that first Jacksonville game. Wright is a great play this week, even though he still struggles to find the end zone.

Rashad Jennings, Oakland Raiders running back vs. San Diego
Jennings has been a stud (especially in point per reception leagues) since taking over the lead back duties in Oakland back in early November. While Kansas City’s defense was short-handed, Jennings still managed 91 rush yards and two touchdowns against one of the best defenses in the league. He’s only topped 100 yards on the ground twice since then, but he does have six rushing touchdowns and he has 19 catches. The Chargers are still in the playoff hunt and while they shut down the Denver Broncos run game on Thursday, it seems as if Denver is the only team that didn’t want to score a rushing TD against them. Since San Diego’s bye in week 8, opponents not named "Denver" have rushed for nine touchdowns.

Sit ‘em

Matt Cassel, Minnesota Vikings quarterback vs. Cincinnati
Who knows, maybe you’ve gotten to this point with smoke and mirrors at the QB position. Perhaps you were riding the Josh McCown train in Chicago, or maybe you’ve had inconsistent play. But this week it’s not worth chasing the hot play of Cassel, who is averaging 296.7 yards and 1.7 touchdowns per game his last three games. The Vikings go on the road to play a tough Cincinnati defense, which has allowed just three 250-yard passing games in the last 10 weeks.

DeAngelo Williams, Carolina Panthers running back vs. New Orleans
Good for you if you dusted off Williams for a start his past week, where he rushed for 81 yards and caught three passes for another 87 and a score. And you might be thinking, after Zac Stacy ran all over the Saints, that Williams might be a good play at home in a game that will determine the NFC South – but don’t buy the hype. One pass netted 72 yards and a score and the New York Jets have packed it in. Williams will get his touches, but you can’t rely on a big day.

Sleeper

Cleveland defense vs. New York Jets
The Browns scored two touchdowns off turnovers against the Jay Cutler-led Chicago Bears, and now they get to face turnover machine Geno Smith and the hapless New York Jets. While you can’t really expect that second week in a row, the Browns do get after the passer (21 sacks in last nine games) and get their hands on the ball (11 turnovers) and Smith and the Jets are great pickings this week.
