Everyone say "You're welcome" to Milwaukee Recreation, as the organization will bring back its friendly neighborhood Family Drive-In Movie Night with a pair of recent favorites – "Moana" and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" – on Saturday, May 13.
Started in 2021, the outdoor movie night will once again bring the big screen to MPS Central Services, found at 5225 W. Vliet St. Families can sign up for either the double feature or just one of the two film picks, with "Moana" screening at 3:30 p.m. and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" showing at 5:30 p.m. Popcorn and water will be available at the movie night – though families and guests are able to bring their own snacks to the screenings as well.
"We are excited to bring this event back for a third season,” said Lauren Lopez, Recreation Manager, in a release. "The drive-in movie is such a unique experience, and we hope that people will enjoy the movies with family and friends!"
In case of rain, Milwaukee Recreation's Family Drive-In Movie Night will move dates to Saturday, May 20, in the same location.
Admission for the family movie night will cost $20 per vehicle per movie. For more information on tickets and registration, visit Milwaukee Recreation's website.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
