Waukesha's biggest musical export (after the BoDeans, who are after Les Paul), Exit has officially called it quits, confirming a rumor that has been swirling around town for a few weeks now.
In its eight-year career, the band sold more than 7,000 independent CDs.
"The bottom line is the four of us had a lot of different ideas on how to move forward as a band," said Ryan McIntyre. "In the end, it just became obvious that we couldn't pursue those various directions without significant changes. Ultimately, we felt Exit had run its course."
The band is planning a farewell show and all four members are working on other projects already. The Exit Web site is www.exitmusic.com.
