By now we all know the Eric Thames story. If you don’t, here's the abridged version: Thames' MLB career stalled out, he went to South Korea for four years and hit the cover off the baseball, got another shot in the majors with the Brewers and then delivered by hitting 31 home runs in his first season back.
Even though Thames is back in the big leagues, though, it appears he hasn’t forgotten where his career was resurrected. The slugging first baseman was back in South Korea on Monday to watch his former team, NC Dinos, compete in the playoffs.

Wondering why Thames would go back to South Korea after leaving the country for the major leagues? These videos seem to clear things up.
It’s safe to say the fans haven’t forgotten @EricThames in Korea.

They LOVE him. That stadium was packed and there wasn’t one person even thinking about sitting down while Thames was leading them. We knew he was popular over there, but man. Apparently, his presence motivated the team on the field, too.

It’s Eric Thames world; the Dinos, and all the rest of us, are just living in it.
