The West Side will soon have a new farmers market thanks to the efforts of area residents including Heather Sullivan, the market’s founder and manager.

The new market, which is scheduled to launch on June 19, will take place on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Sept. 25. The location for the market is Enderis Park, located between between 70th and 72nd Streets between Chambers and Locust.

Sullivan, who co-founded the Tosa Farmers Market in 2009, says the new location will fill a niche as one of very few markets which will serve customers on Sundays, particularly on the West Side.

Currently, the market is seeking vendors to sell locally-grown produce as well as locally-crafted food and beverage products. Interested purveyors should contact Sullivan at enderisparkfarmersmarket@gmail.com.

A web site for the new market is forthcoming. In the meantime, you can follow its progress on Facebook.
