Remember those long emission lines at the test centers around the greater Milwaukee area?  The electronic signs would display wait times of 45 minutes, 55 minutes or sometimes 90 minutes!  These days, my fellow drivers, are gone.

My appointment today was for 9:30 a.m, I booked it on Friday.  I arrived at Shorewood Auto Repair, 1330 E. Capitol Dr.,  at 9:33 a.m.  And, I kid you not, by 9:40 a.m. I was back in my car and leaving for my next meeting.

That's right, emission check done and passed in seven minutes.

I'm still a bit in shock, so I thought I'd pass the good news along.  Need a check soon?  Just click here, enter the zip code that's convenient and make an appointment.  Only "bad" news is there are no options in the Downtown zip codes of 53203 or 53202.

Final friendly reminder that beginning in the third year following you car's model year, vehicles in Wisconsin require an emission test every other year before license plate renewal.  So, for your next one, see if you can beat my seven-minute time.
