East
Garden Chinese Restaurant |
From the artwork on the walls to the artistry on the plates, aesthetics
have always played an integral role in the dining experience at Sik Kin and Wendy
Wu's East Garden. While the small dining rooms are no different than any other
in town, the strikingly simple yet elegant watercolors have the walls awash with
images that come from a hand that has respect for nature's beauty and the rich
tradition of one's homeland.
The east side location always provides an assortment of entertaining clientele. However, the "trough-up" all-you-can-eat Chinese buffets that have sprouted up all over town have eroded the sit-down dinner base at the area's Chinese restaurants. While the carry-out business continues to be brisk, the dining room traffic is down. With its attention to detail and wonderful dishes, this place deserves your business.
That same artistic attention to detail in Sik Kin's brush paintings is brought to the food coming from the woks in the kitchen with attractive entrees that simply can't be found anywhere else. You'll do well with Mango Chicken, Emperor Duck, Strawberry Shrimp, Pork with Green Beans and Black Pepper. The Sesame Chicken is the best in city. All dishes are as beautiful as they sound.
Moderate.
A service bar provides an assortment of drinks with tiny umbrellas. Chinese Beer and wine are also available.
