Deer District is typically home to the Milwaukee Bucks, but this spring, it'll play host to Milwaukee barks as the plaza will host a Doggy Day pup-tacular.
Hosted from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, April. 9 in the open air space outside Fiserv Forum – or Fur-um in this case – Doggy Day will feature local vendors, live entertainment, food and drink, prizes and loads of activities for both two-legged and four-legged attendees. The dog day afternoon will be For free and open to the public (so long as one's pupper is leashed and well-behaved around others).
The event benefits not only the good boys in attendance but also a good cause: Winston's Wishes, a volunteer non-profit organization that helps support and foster puppers that may require extra care beyond what a traditional shelter can provide.
“After adopting our pup, Winston, we knew we needed to do something to help other homeless dogs in Wisconsin. We launched Winston’s Wishes and have since helped very special, local animals through rescue, education and advocacy,” said Jake Schneider, founder and president of Winston’s Wishes, in a release. “With your support, our mission and organization can continue to grow so we can help our local dogs in need for many years to come.”

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
