The sky is blue. The Earth is round. Dave Matthews Band performs at Alpine Valley. These are just facts of life – save for recently in 2014, when DMB ditched the cozy confines of Elkhorn for Summerfest and the Marcus Amphitheater, so gah, theory ruined!
2016, however, will stick to the DMB's typical formula, as this afternoon, the beloved jam rock band – celebrating its 25th anniversary this year – announced its summer tour with, indeed, an extended stop at Alpine Valley for two nights of shows on July 1-2.
Tickets for the two shows will go on sale Friday, Feb. 19 at noon. However, there will also be two pre-sales: one starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26 for members of Dave Matthews Band's Warehouse Fan Association and another for Citi Private Pass Program members on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Dave Matthews Band fans better get their tickets for this summer's round of Alpine Valley shows because the band won't be back next year. Nothing personal; they're just taking 2017 off from touring – and maybe, we're just guessing here, putting together their first new studio album since 2012's "Away from the World"?
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
