At the end of May, we asked you to participate in a diner survey to assist restaurants in making more educated decisions as they considered their options for re-opening. Those results were shared freely with restaurants and bars across the city.
The results were helpful, notes Chef Daniel Jacobs of the JVR Restaurant group, and they allowed restaurants to move forward with more well-informed re-opening plans.
"The data provided validation for things we were already doing and allowed us to feel more confident about opening up our patios to diners and putting certain safety mechanisms in place. It also helped us to gain a more informed idea of what guests wanted us to do and how we could better serve them."
But as the city moves forward with its phased reopening plan, additional data is needed.
"At this point, we’d like to approach the new phase with information that helps restaurants to work smarter," says Jacobs. "We all want to operate safely, and no one wants to see our city move backwards. So this will allow us to proceed in a way that shows respect to everyone around us."
In turn, we are once again asking for five minutes of your time to provide additional feedback for restaurants by completing this survey compiled by members of the Milwaukee Independent Restaurant Coalition (MIRC). The survey will be open through Friday, July 3.
