In this month's podcast, Julie and I mostly listen to the experiences of two women who were raised by parents born in countries outside the United States. They share personal experiences of what it's like to have parent who sometimes struggled with language and culture, and how their communities responded throughout their lives.
Monica Thomas works for MPS and her mother was born and raised in Japan; Ami Bedi is a therapist whose parents are Indian. Both have funny, sad and heartwarming experiences from this enriching aspect of their family dynamic.
