To ensure social distancing, a few local craft shops and businesses now offer curbside pickup of art supplies and / or everything needed to do a particular project.
No one should put any pressure on themselves right now to be overly productive, but if making art – or having your kids make art – sounds relaxing and enjoyable right now, these businesses are ready to help.
1. The Farmhouse
The Farmhouse offers canvas painting and wood sign-making experiences to go as along with live classes on Facebook. All materials are provided and payments will be made online to limit contact between the customers and the staff. They also deliver through DoorDash. Click here to learn more.
2. Fischberger's Variety Store
This family-owned shop in Riverwest has a plethora of crafts, projects, puzzles, games and more. Simply call the shop and chat with one of the owners (probably Sarah) and tell them what you are looking for – or what kind of projects you like to do and they will suggest items readily available for pick-up or delivery. 3. Michael's (Various locations)
Michael's offers special curbside pickup right now. Order and pay for what you need online, receive an email when it's ready and then just show up at the curb with an ID and an open trunk so an employee can drop in your items. Click here.
4. Rec Room Craft Company
Rec Room Craft Company in Walker's Point is offering a variety of make-at-home craft projects. Delivery is free is within 10 miles, otherwise it's $5. Check out the available projects here.
