I'm not sure why, but lately, I've received a lot of email offers to take a cruise. Out of curiosity, I looked at the prices and although they docked in somewhat interesting and warm-sounding place, I did not find them particularly inexpensive.

Hence, just another reason why I have absolutely no interest in ever going on a cruise.

My scope of the cruise scene is limited, I admit I'm cobbling together an opinion based on news snippets about missing passengers and buffet food poisonings and after watching way too many episodes of "The Love Boat."

Although I like the idea of being on water, the thought of being "trapped" on a boat with so many people I don't know instantly creates waves of discomfort for me. And I don't know how to play shuffleboard.

I wonder if I'm just missing the boat on cruises?
