Bastille Days came and went, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying crêpes throughout the year. These very thin, pancake-like pastries are usually made from wheat flour and eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert.

Metro Milwaukee is home to a variety of restaurants that serve crêpes. Here are some of our favorites, and feel free to add more via the Talkback feature.

Jacques is the crêpe capitol of Milwaukee. The crêpe menu features smoked salmon, roast beef mushroom, chicken curry, spinach Roquefort, caramelized apples, banana Nutella, poached pears, vanilla with berries and more. Prices range from $5.95 to $9.95. Check out Chez Jacques' new patio, too.

Cedarburg’s Crème & Crêpe Café features many crêpe options, including the popular "Combination Star" that comes with ham, Swiss cheese and asparagus. Their dessert crêpes feature two scoops of ice cream rolled in a crêpe and topped with fruit or chocolate. Entrée crêpes run $4.50-$4.75; dessert crêpes are $3.25-$3.50.

Both Elliot's and Hartford Bistro have the same owner and menu, featuring two crêpe options on the brunch menu. Crêpes New Orleans ($11.95) is made with real crab meat and okra, and Crêpes Maison ($12.95) is made with chicken, mushrooms, spinach and cream sauce. On May 29, Elliott's had a fire and closed. This Vegan and non-Vegan crêpe cart makes fresh crêpes every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Choose from prosciutto and mozzarella, Nutella and bananas, fresh strawberry or more. Satellite crepes cost $3-$5.

Trocadero serves a brie and portobella crêpe, a ham and cheese crêpe, a ratatouille crêpe, a salmon crêpe and two dessert crêpe, strawberry and chocolate. They range in price between $6.50 and $9.
