Today's article about my experience getting a colonic ends with my drive home from the appointment. Here are a few observations I've made in the 24-hour period following the colonic.

1. It seems like my food is digesting more quickly. Last night, and again this morning, I ate a meal and then went to the bathroom for the big No. 2 about 15 minutes later. This is not usually how it happens for me.

2. I lost four pounds. I don't recommend getting a colonic to lose weight, and I will probably gain back this "poop weight" in a few days, but for now, I'm reaching for the skinny jeans in the back of the closet.

3.  No, I am not using a rubber donut today. A reader e-mailed me asking if  I needed to cushion my seat today, and the answer is no. Colonics are  basically pain-free.
