The coronavirus pandemic has changed our everyday life, but it doesn't need to change who we are. So, in addition to our ongoing coverage of the coronavirus, OnMilwaukee will continue to report on cool, fun, inspiring and strange stories from our city and beyond. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay informed and stay joyful. We're all in this together.

Been searching the city for toilet paper?  (yeah, us too)
How about antibacterial soap?
Or tomato soup?

Well, you might just be in luck, because the Classy Girl Pantry, 825 N Jefferson St., opens at 10 a.m. sharp on Saturday, April 4. And it’s fully stocked with hard to find grocery store items like disinfectant wipes, antibacterial soap and Vick’s Vapo-Rub… in cake form.

Beginning today, Classy Girl is rolling out a brand new line of sweet new treats that might just make your time at home a little bit sweeter: The Quarantine Cake Collection.

Take for instance this hard-to-find gem, the Purell Hand Sanitizer cake, which is guaranteed to kill negative thoughts on contact.

Or how about this Clorox cutie? It might just be the cleanest cake you’ve ever eaten.

And then there's my personal favorite, the Toilet Paper cake. Or, as I prefer to call it, the Dump Cake. It's absolutely adorable, and infinitely easier to track down than a roll of Charmin.

And can you just imagine your kids' faces when you pull out this can of soup for lunch?  These are the moments we'll all remember, folks.

All Quarantine cakes were painstakingly designed by Classy Girl’s head decorator Alicia Silva. In stock 6" cakes (yielding 8-10 slices) come in chocolate or vanilla flavor for $45 each (limit one per person). Reserve yours by calling (414) 270-1877. Cakes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for curbside pick-up or local delivery.

Prefer a bigger cake? A gluten free, vegan or gluten-free and vegan cake? Or maybe a red velvet Lysol cake for that special someone? You got it.

Special orders are also available in a variety of sizes, colors and flavors. Two days notice is required. See the Classy Girl Cupcakes website for more information or give them a call to place your order.

And, as you're perusing their website, be sure to check out their limited edition Easter Cupcake Baking Kit, which includes everything you need to make 12-15 adorable Easter cupcakes, including cake mix, buttercream frosting and Easter sprinkles to top everything off.

One more thing.

When you pick up your Quarantine Cake, don’t forget to stay safe. Maintain social distancing. Be kind. Tip well. And most of all, no hoarding.
