The Chocolate Factory Subs & Ice Cream Parlor inside The Shops of Grand Avenue, 275 W. Wisconsin Ave., will soon move to a new Elm Grove location.

According to store manager Michelle Houck, the exact closing date of the Downtown Chocolate Factory is uncertain, but it's projected to happened before the end of the year.

Most of the staff, including Houck, will be employed at the new Chocolate Factory.

The business started in 1972 in Cedarburg and since then, has opened numerous shops in and around Milwaukee. Currently, there are seven Chocolate Factory locations.
