There’s nothing more all-American than a burger. In this series, we ask chefs to divulge the mouthwatering details behind their favorite restaurant burgers. Today, we chat with Chef Molly Sullivan of Miss Molly’s Cafe & Pastry Shop. Sullivan will be among nine featured chefs at the fifth annual Moveable Feast event at the Milwaukee Public Museum.
When we asked Chef Molly Sullivan her opinion on what makes the ultimate burger, she paused.
"I’ve got to be honest and say that I’m not really much of a burger person," she confessed. "If I do order a burger it’s usually the Beyond Meat or Impossible burger patty with blue cheese and mushrooms."
"I’m usually most interested in the sides, so anytime there are cheese curds involved I eat my fair share of those. I’ve got to say that Vanguard has the best cheese curds I’ve ever had!"
Favorite Burger: Impossible Burger at Good City Brewing
"I do really like the Impossible Burger at Good City Brewing Co." Sullivan admits. "I love that it has traditional types of burger toppings, but the untraditional burger patty. I'm all about sauces, and they have a great Russian sauce they use on their burgers. I don't eat a ton of meat so it's really nice to have an option that satisfies a craving that you can feel less guilty about!"
