- A weekend full of fun and flavor is coming. Get a taste of it all at the Craft Beer Walk and Dells On Tap October 18-19.
As Milwaukee’s summer transitions into fall, a new one-day block party in the Third Ward is set on capturing the best of both worlds.
Hosted by the Friends of Catalano Square, the Catalano Beer Mixer is set to take place on Saturday, September 28th on Menomonee Street in the Third Ward, in front of Club Charlies (320 E. Menomonee St.) and The Copper Turtle Brewery and Taverne (330 E. Menomonee St.). The event will feature six Milwaukee acts, keeping the music going throughout the afternoon. It is free and open to the public.
Of course, there’s also plenty of beer as well. With Oktoberfest right around the corner, beers from The Copper Turtle, Point Brewery, and Broken Bat Brewing will be celebrated throughout the day. The event will also feature food, street vendors, and more.
The block party follows in the tradition of Ayre In The Square, a yearly concert series held by the Friends of Catalano Square since 2013. Organizers are hoping that the new block party will serve as the flagship event for the group, bringing an eclectic mix of music and family-friendly entertainment to the Third Ward annually.
An eclectic music lineup features Milwaukee musicians, spanning from indie rock to folk, blues, and more, headlined by Funk Summit Bass Team, who had traditionally played the last night of the Ayre in the Square series annually. The full lineup features:
- 2 p.m. - Oh Geeez, Not Again
- 3 p.m. - Buckwild
- 4 p.m. - Adorner
- 5 p.m. - Paul Filipowicz
- 6 p.m. - Wise Jennings
- 7 p.m. - Funk Summit Bass Team
For more information, you can visit the Friends of Catalano Square website, or RSVP to the event on Facebook. As always, stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for even more concert announcements.
It’s the freakin’ Catalano Beer Mixer! Pow!
