"Cash Mob MKE" is a weekly event – dare we call it a movement – that encourages folks to order from the same place on the same day and/or evening. The goal is to provide the restaurant with a stellar, sellout night, and in return, we get a delicious meal made with local love.
The next Cash Mob MKE (#cashmobmke) will take place this Thursday, Jan. 21 at Ashley's Bar-B-Que, 1501 W. Center St.
Ashley's is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and so for this week's cash mob, you are invited to go for lunch or dinner. Ashley's offers onsite pick-up (cash only) or delivery through a number of third party services (just click on one of the options listed on their website). It's your choice. Just show up for some of the city's best barbecue to go.
Popular menu items include beef BBQ sandwiches, shoulder BBQ sandwich, pan of ribs, pan of tips, catfish dinners, perch dinners, shrimp po'boy, wings, burgers, beans, greens, yams, pecan pie and more. For the full menu, go here.
The popular American soul food restaurant has been a beacon for great BBQ since 1961. Started by former A. O. Smith employee Thomas Ashley, the restaurant is owned today by second generation family member Darnell Ashley. It's known throughout the city for its for good vibes and tasty home cooking.
