While the Wisconsin State Fair has announced its full Main Stage lineup, any proper Sconnie summer enthusiast knows that's just a bit of the music and good times coming to the fairgrounds each season. For instance, there's the rowdy Wednesday Night Live concert series, which recently announced its lineup of local tunes for 2024.
Hosted Wednesday nights throughout the summer from 6-10:30 p.m., with music starting at 7 p.m., Wednesday Night Live celebrates Hump Day with live bands playing the hits complete with food and drink for sale around the Bud Pavilion, found on Central Avenue by Central Park, across from the Cream Puff Pavilion. This year's lineup features eight Wednesday nights of free entertainment in the early summer, as well as a special Friday evening edition as a special season finale in August.
Here's the lineup for this year's Wednesday Night Live season:
- Wednesday, May 22 – The Glam Band
- Wednesday, May 29 – Rebel Grace
- Wednesday, June 5 – Cherry Pie
- Wednesday, June 12 – Bella Cain
- Wednesday, June 19 – The Toys
- Wednesday, June 26 – Almighty Vinyl
- Wednesday, July 3 – Chasin' Mason
- Wednesday, July 10 – Generation Z
- Friday, Aug. 30 (until 9:30 p.m.) – The Cheap Shots

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
