Madison-born, Minneapolis-raised rapper Brother Ali will perform on Monday, October 31 at Historic Turner Ballroom. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale on Friday, Oct. 4 at noon. The cost is $20.
Brother Ali is one of indie-hip-hop's most notable rappers of the last decade. Brother Ali released "Us" last September. While maintaining his intimate approach to songwriting, Ali has broadened his focus to examine life through his relationships with those closest to him.
The new direction allows Ali to venture through the strengths and flaws of the human condition, exploring the evils of slavery, drug abuse, rape and poverty as well as the beauty of love, family and redemption.
