Numerous sources are reporting that veteran outfielder Jim Edmonds has agreed to a minor league deal with the Brewers.

Out of baseball last season, Edmonds, 40, has a .284 career batting average and is just 18 home runs away from 400. In 16 years, he's made the All-Star Game four times and is an eight-time Gold Glove Award winner.

The deal includes an invitation to major league camp and is reported to be similar to the one signed two years ago by Gabe Kapler when he came out of retirement.
