Brewers Community Foundation is proud to announce the return of the "Hitting 4 the Cycle" benefit bike ride on Saturday, August 12. Registrants will participate in a 25-mile route that starts and ends at Miller Park, followed by a tailgate party in the parking lots. Riders will conclude the festivities by attending that evening’s game against the Cincinnati Reds.
The cost to register is $50, with a $50 mandatory fundraising minimum. The money that is raised will support Urban Ecology Center, DreamBikes and American Cancer Society. Consistent with BCF’s mission, these worthy organizations provide quality programming in the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs. Those who raise more than the requisite $50 will be eligible for Brewers prizes.
Beyond an invitation to the tailgate party and a Club Outfield Box ticket to the August 12 Brewers game, participants will receive a dry-fit t-shirt and entered into drawings to win unique Brewers and biking-themed items and experiences.
"Brewers Community Foundation focuses on identifying opportunities to support organizations that are addressing critical issues in our community," said Brewers Community Foundation Executive Director Cecelia Gore. "We are excited to launch the third annual "Hitting 4 the Cycle" benefit bike ride. The ride provides another opportunity to participate in a fun activity while doing good for the community."
Sponsors for the benefit include Prairie Springs-the Paul Fleckenstein Trust, Trek Bicycle Corporation, Saris, Hospitality Democracy and Miller Lite. Wisconsin Bike Federation will also be actively supporting Hitting 4 the Cycle.
