J. Leinenkugel's Barrel Yard brewer Corrine Georges will roll out a new brew in honor of 414 Day, Sunday, April 14, at American Family Field.
Brewed on-site in the stadium brewery’s three-barrel pilot brew system, “Fresh, Flavor, Forward” is a Berliner Weisse that Georges says pays homage to the German heritage of both Milwaukee and the Chippewa Falls-based Leinenkugel’s brewery.
Though tasting samples for media won’t be available until next week, we’re assured that the new brew – a collab with VISIT Milwaukee – is, “a pale, refreshing, German wheat beer with low alcohol and clean tartness, with light sour and lightly breaded aromas.”
The beer will be available starting 4-14, but it will also be on tap as the Brewers face the Padres April 15-17 and beyond, until supplies are exhausted.
As has been the case with all the stadium-exclusive Leinie’s beers, the batch is pretty small and so it won’t last forever.
You’ll also be able to get it in 32-ounce crowlers on non-game days, like 4-14 Day, when the Brewers are away to face the Orioles in Baltimore.
Among the other beers Georges has brewed in the stadium brewhouse are the dry-hopped Lead Off Lager and Double Play IPA.
