Free agent center fielder Mike Cameron, who played for San Diego last season, has agreed to a one-year deal that contains a club option for 2009. Cameron will sit out the first 25 games after testing positive for a banned stimulant last year.
Bill Hall will move from center field to third base and Ryan Braun will shift from third to left field -- a position he may hold until Matt LaPorta, the team's No. 1 draft pick last year -- is ready for big-league duty.
Cameron, 35, hit .242 with 21 homers and 78 RBI in 151 games last year. He is a three-time Gold Glove winner, entering a club which has not had one since Robin Yount in 1982.
