Two legendary acts are headed to Milwaukee next year, and they’re picking one of the biggest possible venues to play, as well.
On Thursday, it was revealed that Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Billy Joel and Sting will be sharing the stage at American Family Field, in one of the stadium’s biggest double-headliner bills yet. The pair are already touring together, with a run of stadium shows through the winter into next spring. The show is slated for Saturday, April 26th of next year.
For Billy Joel, it’s his second time playing American Family Field, and his third time playing a baseball stadium in Milwaukee. Next year’s show will be exactly six years to the day from his last appearance in 2019, and he famously shared the stage with Elton John for the original “Face To Face” tour in 1994 at Milwaukee County Stadium.
Sting, however, has not played Milwaukee since 2016. He last played American Family Insurance Amphitheater, co-headlining a night of Summerfest alongside Peter Gabriel. It’s safe to say that next year’s show will be his biggest Milwaukee date yet, and alongside Joel, should be a night to remember.
Tickets for the April show will go on sale on Friday, November 15th via Ticketmaster, with presales for Citi cardholders and fan clubs on Thursday and next Monday, respectively.
