This morning, FM 102/1 announced the day one performers at its upcoming Big Snow Show 9 – hosted by The Rave – and even with just one day announced, it's an impressive bunch.
Serving as the music extravaganza's headliner are alt-rockers Cage The Elephant, most known for their 2008 breakout hit "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" and their current radio hit "Come a Little Closer." The Bowling Green-based rockers are no strangers to Milwaukee, as they just recently came to town last month as openers for The Black Keys' BMO Bradley Center show.
The rest of the day one setlist, however, is just as headliner-worthy, with new soul hitmakers Fitz & The Tantrums, English rockers Alt-J, Aussie singer-songwriter Vance Joy and fellow singer-songwriter Meg Myers.
Much like their headliner brethren, most of these musicians have made plenty of recent pitstops in Milwaukee. Fitz & The Tantrums were just in Milwaukee this past summer performing at Summerfest, and before then, they played at The Rave alongside Capital Cities just last November. Vance Joy and Meg Myers were just at The Rave this past summer for a FM 102/1 exposure show, while Alt-J performed at Milwaukee's favorite sweaty pit recently as well – in fact, at last year's Big Snow Show.
Day one of Big Snow Show 9 hits the stage Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. General admission tickets go for $39, while VIP tickets will run you $49. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. at The Rave box office, The Rave's website and by phone at 414-342-7283. The performers for the second day of Big Snow Show 9 will be announced tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. on FM 102/1.
