Sabor and Beta by Sabor, 777 N. Water St., have closed their doors, according to Executive Chef Mitch Ciohon, who posted a notice on Facebook yesterday.

Sabor, Milwaukee's Brazilian steakhouse, featured all-inclusive meals including gourmet salads, grilled vegetables and up to 12 different cuts of fire-roasted meats. The restaurant also boasted a wine room with more than 2,400 bottles.

Beta, which just celebrated its one-year anniversary in August, featured small plates, craft cocktails and frozen desserts made with their innovative nitro-cream machine.

Chef Ciohon has worked in the kitchens of Sabor since 2006.

"Thank you to everyone that helped me," he wrote. "Owners, colleagues, staff, people that came and ate, people that said wonderful things, and the people that didn't ... I love you all. I would not be the man I am today without this experience."
