There are plenty of eateries in town whose bars are just as fun to hang out at as they are for dining.
With more and more restaurants paying just as much attention to their beer and cocktail lists as their food menus, you don't have to be hungry to choose a restaurant bar for the night's destination.
With its regular live music performances, a collection of delicious micro-brews made on the spot, an incredible patio and a surprisingly warm and friendly atmosphere for its size, it's no surprise OnMilwaukee.com readers chose the Milwaukee Ale House, 233 N. Water St., as 2011's best bar in a restaurant.
And although you don't have to eat just because you are drinking at a restaurant bar, you'd be doing yourself a favor if you did at the Ale House with it's tasty burgers, salads and pizzas.
Because it's such a great casual restaurant and such a fun, lively bar, we selected Bar Lulu in Bay View as our editors' pick.
