Fans of Hooligan's Super Bar, the East Side landmark located at 2017 E. North Ave., aren't going to argue. They showed their support by naming Hoolie's their favorite bar on or near North Avenue during the annual OnMilwaukee.com readers' poll.

Established in 1936 and remodeled in 1998, Hooligan's is a favorite place to congregate, celebrate, commiserate and communicate over tasty pub food, cold drinks and televised sports.

The bar attracts a cross-section of Milwaukeeans with more than 30 micro and import beers on draft and an impressive selection of scotches and flavored vodkas.

Competition from neighbors like Paddy's Pub, the runner up, and BBC was tough, but Hooligan's carried the day.
