Bryant’s, a Milwaukee institution, is now an American one, too, after winning Esquire’s pick for "bar of the year." This vintage lounge has long dominated the local craft cocktail category.

Bryant’s menu – well, actually, not having a menu, but allowing customers to choose drinks based on flavors requested, is a winner in our books, too. And, how can you beat a $4 old fashioneds happy hour?

The craft cocktail resurgence has given Bryant’s some competition in recent years, though it dominated this category handily.

Lately, we’ve been craving the hand-crafted cocktails with a retro flair at Boone and Crockett in Bay View, so that venue nabs our editors’ pick. Go try the Sazerac, you won’t regret it.
