This category is one of the newer additions to the Best of Bars poll here at OnMilwaukee.com, and it’s a popular one in terms of the number of total votes – but there has rarely been a contest for the top spot.

For the third consecutive year, Bryant’s Cocktail Lounge at located at 1579 S. 9th St. was voted as having the top craft cocktails in the Cream City, and by a wide margin.

While the look and feel of Bryant’s remains classic, it’s the carefully crafted cocktail that brings everyone back, eschewing soda taps, flavored vodkas and mixes in favor of hand made ingredients (if need be) and carefully constructed drinks that number close to 500. Yes, that many – so there is no proper "drink menu" to peruse.

But, of course, if you’re looking for some specialties, go for the Rat Pack (hurricane drink), the rum-based Brain Buster, a bitter Ray Gun and a house original like the Kismet, which dates back 70 years.

Great Lakes Distillery finished comfortably in second place while At Random captured third place by, literally, two votes.
