The Vanguard

It was a close call between Oakland Gyros, last year's winner, and The Vanguard, but the Bay View sausage hot spot came through with the win – by a staggering two votes this year. In case there was any doubt: Every. Vote. Matters. 

A fun bar with craft cocktails as well as beer, The Vanguard also serves up delicious sausages and sides to satisfy those late night cravings. Its unique sausages – rotated in and out of the menu every few months or so – include combos like their sweet paprika sausage with pineapple, basil, barbecue sauce, cheddar smear and jalapeños.

In a case of the drunk munchies, their mashed potato crisps might save your life. They come crisp fried and loaded with Cheez Whiz, sour cream, bacon bits and chives – ow ow!
