It’s nearly taco and tequila time in Brookfield.

BelAir Cantina’s location at the Corners of Brookfield will open to the public on Monday, April 17. The location is located at 250 High St., within the lifestyle center adjacent to Market Square.

It’s the fifth location for the popular restaurant, which is part of Toro, Toro, Torro, the restaurant group owned by Leslie Montemurro, Kristyn Eitel and Scott Johnson.

"When we consider new locations, we are always looking for the right spaces with the right fit for
BelAir," Montemurro noted in a release about the opening. "We were thrilled with The Corners’ commitment to offering local restaurant options to its shoppers. This approach is right in line with our way of doing things. We’re excited to offer a little bit of "home" to shoppers enjoying The Corners."

The menu will resemble that at other locations with traditional tacos like carne asada, al pastor and barbacoa, along with numerous unique BelAir creations and a wide selection of vegetarian-friendly options. The BelAir bar boasts nearly 100 varieties of tequila, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a tasting or relax with a margarita.

Features of the Brookfield location include a fun, relaxed environment with California-inspired decor and an area to accommodate outdoor seating. Brunch will be served beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and happy hour will take place Monday through Friday from 3 to 7 p.m.

A grand opening for the new location will be held Friday, April 21 through Saturday April 23. During the celebration, 50% of all food sales will benefit the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, a nonprofit multi-disciplinary cultural arts center. Since opening their doors in 2002, more than 550,000 lives have been enriched through the Wilson Center’s performances, festivals, exhibits, classes, and workshops-including the lives of more than 9,000
children and youth served every year through their arts education programming.

BelAir expects to open a sixth restaurant in Madison this summer.
