As summer begins its slide into autumn, Bayshore isn’t easing off the gas when it comes to fun and free events.
In fact, there’s a full slate of events already on tap for September and early October, all of which take place in The Yard, the central open-air plaza of the town center.
Bayshore Game Days
Enjoy take-out food from Bayshore restaurants like California Pizza Kitchen, Trader Joe’s, The Cheesecake Factory, Buffalo Wild Wings and more, while you watch the Packers and Brewers on the giant screen. The first game day took place Sunday but there are at least two more to come:
- Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions – Sept. 20, 12 p.m.
- Milwaukee Brewers vs. St. Louis Cardinals – Sept. 27, 2:15 p.m.
Bayshore Family Flicks Series
Free, family-friendly movie nights continuewith gems like “The Goonies,” “Hotel Transylvania,” “Hocus Pocus” and “Casper.” Showings on Sept. 16, 23, 30 and Oct. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to get comfy as limited public seating is available.
Bayshore Art and Artisan Fair
The new Bayshore Art and Artisan Fair is slated for Oct. 3-4. It will bring together more than 75 artists and artisans offering fine art, food, clothing, home décor and more. There will also be live music, food and entertainment.
100FIT Bootcamp with CrossFit 100
CrossFit 100 hosts free one-hour 100Fit Bootcamp workout sessions for all fitness levels in The Yard, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 19 and 26. Bring a yoga mat. Registration is required as space is imited.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he lived until he was 17, Bobby received his BA-Mass Communications from UWM in 1989 and has lived in Walker's Point, Bay View, Enderis Park, South Milwaukee and on the East Side.
He has published three non-fiction books in Italy – including one about an event in Milwaukee history, which was published in the U.S. in autumn 2010. Four more books, all about Milwaukee, have been published by The History Press.
With his most recent band, The Yell Leaders, Bobby released four LPs and had a songs featured in episodes of TV's "Party of Five" and "Dawson's Creek," and films in Japan, South America and the U.S. The Yell Leaders were named the best unsigned band in their region by VH-1 as part of its Rock Across America 1998 Tour. Most recently, the band contributed tracks to a UK vinyl/CD tribute to the Redskins and collaborated on a track with Italian novelist Enrico Remmert.
He's produced three installments of the "OMCD" series of local music compilations for OnMilwaukee.com and in 2007 produced a CD of Italian music and poetry.
In 2005, he was awarded the City of Asti's (Italy) Journalism Prize for his work focusing on that area. He has also won awards from the Milwaukee Press Club.
He has be heard on 88Nine Radio Milwaukee talking about his "Urban Spelunking" series of stories, in that station's most popular podcast.
