Here's a quick Q & A with bartender Amy Bladow of Bar None:
OnMilwaukee.com: How long have you been tending bar?
Amy Bladow: Six years. Four in Madison during and after college and two at None in Milwaukee.
OMC: What's your favorite Milwaukee bar (other than the one where you work)?
AB: When I'm not working chances are you will find me at Champions or Ten Bells. I like laid-back places with good beer.
OMC: What's the most important tool behind the bar?
AB: Probably a bottle of Powers; we drink a lot of whiskey!
OMC: What's your favorite brunch spot?
AB: Red Dot. Who doesn't love poutine with tots?
OMC: What's your favorite special or promotion at your bar or a bar you frequent?
AB: I always love a good Service Industry Night, at my place or elsewhere. Normally good drinks, good people and good music. What else could you ask for?
OMC: Have you served anyone famous? If so, did they tip well?
AB: I have served a few pro athletes. I went to college with Travis Beckum so he stops in when he's in Milwaukee and he always takes care of me.
OMC: What drink are you making for Bartender Olympics?
AB: The Wild Child.
The Wild Child
1 and 3/4 ounces Absolut Wild Tea
1/4 ounces triple sec
1/4 ounces blue curacao
Splash of sweet and sour mix, soda water and lemonade
