Friends of Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) will host their 12th annual Barktoberfest in Estabrook Park Beer Garden on Saturday, Sept. 16.

The dog-and-human-friendly fun takes place from noon to 5 p.m.

The event will feature a dog talent show, lure course and face painting (we presume for humans, not dogs). Stay tuned via MADACC's Facebook page.

Proceeds from food and drink sales will go towards the non-profit animal shelter that's dedicated to increasing pet adoptions, providing lifesaving medical care, defraying the cost of spay/neuter surgeries and vaccines, and providing daily-life care at the facility.

"We hope you will join us and some of Wisconsin's biggest animal lovers, in celebrating Barktoberfest with Friends of MADACC and our Honorary Chair, Nellie," reads the press release.

Nellie is the honorary Canine Chair of this year's Barktoberfest. Follow this "pretty pittie" on Instagram.
