Attention all two-legged and four-legged friends: You're going to want to hightail it over to Hart Park this weekend for Bark N Brew Fest.
Presented by B93.3 FM, Schlossman Subaru City, Friends of MADACC and yours truly at OnMilwaukee, Bark N Brew Fest is a weekend-long, end-of-summer celebration of man's best friend and man's best beverage. Hosted at Hart Park, 7300 Chestnut St., the event will feature more than 40 activities for young and old, in human years and dog years, including carnival games, a 50-foot inflatable kids obstacle course, raffles, live musical performances, fur family photos, face painting, Henna tattoos and several dog sports options like speed run, lure courses and dog agility.
And when it's time to hit pause (or "paws") on the activities and chill out, there's the breezy lab lounge for pups as well as the beer tent – featuring more than 20 local craft brews, wines and seltzers – for people.
The furry festivities will take place from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28 and Sunday, Aug. 29. Admission is free. However, if you're looking to let the dogs out a little sooner, the event will host a "Yappy Hour" for 21-and-older attendees on Friday, Aug. 27 from 5-8 p.m. Tickets for the Yappy Hour – complete with samples of up to 15 beverages, complimentary food, live music, activities and more – cost $15 at the event's website.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
