Best-selling cookbook author and Emmy Award-winning Food Network star Ina Garten will be back in Milwaukee for a show at the Riverside Theater on Wednesday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m.

During her performance, Garten will offer a charming insider view of her hit television show, "Barefoot Contessa," which is currently in its 11th season. A local moderator will guide the conversation as Garten shares insights into her love and passion for food, as well as tips for successful entertaining. The performance will also include an interactive question and answer session with the audience.

Garten, whose career has included fashion design and analysis of nuclear energy policy at the White House, launched her career in food when she saw an advertisement for a small food store for sale in the Hamptons. Under her ownership, The Barefoot Contessa, a 400-square foot specialty food store, steadily grew over the span of 20 years to become a 3,000-square foot food emporium.

After selling her business in 1996, Garten published her first cookbook, "The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook," a bestseller that launched her into the spotlight. Since then, she has authored nine additional cookbooks, including her forthcoming "Cooking for Jeffrey," which will be released in October 2016.

Tickets for Ina Garten: Barefoot Contessa, priced $49.50-$75.50, will be available online beginning Aug. 26 at noon.
