Between National Barbie Day on Saturday as well as the recent hit blockbuster competing for Best Picture and then some at the Oscars on Sunday, it's a big week for Barbie. To add to the Barbie-monium, the Amp today announced that it will bring Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" live in concert to town, turning Brew City into Barbie Land on Friday, July 12.
The special live screening of the Oscar-nominated pink-arific comedy will feature a live orchestra – the Barbie Land Sinfonietta – playing the film's score alongside the Margot Robbie-Ryan Gosling smash hit movie, projected above the musicians and the Amp stage. The cinematic live event will also feature special photo ops as well as limited edition merch for sale.
Tickets for the special "Barbie" live showing will go on sale to the public on Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster. There is, however, also a presale for Citi cardmembers starting Tuesday, March 5 at 10 a.m. For more information about the presale, click here – and for more info about the show, visit the AmFam Amp's website.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
