Once again, the Wisconsin Badgers had to scratch and claw to defeat an underdog opponent.
This time, though, the Badgers did not drop in the polls.
A slew of upsets rocked the college football world last week, so the Badgers climbed four spots to No. 5 in both the Associated Press and USA Today coaches' poll. Southern Cal, Oklahoma, Florida, West Virginia, Texas and Rutgers all lost over the weekend.
The Badgers, who beat Michigan State in a 37-34 thriller Saturday, trail fourth-ranked Ohio State in both polls. The teams meet Nov. 3 in Columbus.
Wisconsin's next game will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Illinois.
