Accept no substitutes, replacements or lookalikes: 2000s punk pop star Avril Lavigne will hit the American Family Insurance Amphitheater this summer with a headliner show on Monday, Sept. 9.
The "Girlfriend," "Sk8er Boi" and "Complicated" singer will be joined at the September Amp show by opening acts Simple Plan and girlfriends.
Lavigne last played Milwaukee in 2022, serving as an opening act for Machine Gun Kelly's Summerfest-headlining tour stop along with Iann Dior.
Tickets for the Avril Lavigne concert will go on sale to the public beginning Friday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster as well as in person at the AmFam Amp box office. There will also, however, be an artist presale starting Wednesday, Jan. 24 starting at 10 a.m. For more information on the show, click here.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
