A random trip to Bay View this evening led to a sight for sore eyes. The long-darkened "Open" sign at At Random, the classic cocktail bar at 2501 S. Delaware Ave. that's been shuttered for months, was bright as day.

A trip inside revealed that the bar was indeed open, with at least a dozen happy patrons sitting around the dimly lit bar.

According to staff, owner Ron Zeller has reopened the bar, at least for the time being. The property is still for sale, but until an owner is found, there's still random enjoyment to be found at this Milwaukee classic.

So go while you can, belly up to the bar and enjoy a classic ice cream drink like a Pink Squirrel or Golden Cadillac. Or order up one of the famous romantic rum-loaded Tiki Love Bowls.

For now, At Random will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight.
