Every week in 2015, OnMilwaukee.com and local design company Too Much Metal will join forces to introduce the latest member of the Milwaukee All-Stars – a team of unfamiliar winners living in the city who consistently and diligently make it shine. Each week, a new member will join the team – based on your recommendations – and at the end of the year all will come together in a Rally of the Raddest Milwaukeeans. We're not sure what that means quite yet, so for now, meet …

Kristyn Eitel

OnMilwaukee / Too Much Metal: How long have you worked at your job?

Kristyn Eitel: I started in the service industry while still in high school and never left.

OnMilwaukee / Too Much Metal: Where do you currently work?

Eitel: Well, I sort of work a few different jobs. I’m an operating partner at BelAir Cantina and Fink’s, but I also run the office for Mojofuco Restaurant Group and help oversee all those places – from Comet to Balzac to Hi-Hat.

OnMilwaukee / Too Much Metal: What time of year / season is your favorite in Milwaukee?

Eitel: I love big snow storms in winter but my favorite season in Milwaukee is "non-winter." I’d much prefer to be warm.

OnMilwaukee / Too Much Metal: What’s your favorite / least favorite smell in Milwaukee?

Eitel: I love the smell of hot, humid nights, sitting on one of Milwaukee’s finest patios.

OnMilwaukee / Too Much Metal: What neighborhood do you live in?

Eitel: We live on the East Side. Cooler by the lake!

OnMilwaukee / Too Much Metal: What's your hope for Milwaukee?

Eitel: I hope Milwaukee continues to use the momentum we have going these last several years and keeps growing from within. We’ve got so many talented people and such a great music, art, and business community going – very exciting time to be living and working in this town!

OnMilwaukee / Too Much Metal: When / how did you fall in love with Milwaukee?

Eitel: I guess it was probably back when I first started at UWM. Coming from a small town in Wisconsin made the city seem big but still totally welcoming. Biggest small town in America.

OnMilwaukee / Too Much Metal: Why do you do what you do?

Eitel: It’s what I love and it’s just what I do. I love that every day is completely different and I’m surrounded by such amazing people on a daily basis.

OnMilwaukee / Too Much Metal: What is your one guilty pleasure?

Eitel: Day-drinking at the Nomad and a shot ’n’ a beer at Wolski’s.

OnMilwaukee / Too Much Metal: Name a Milwaukeean you would like to high five.

Eitel: Every hardworking person in the service industry. I am grateful to have worked with a lot of you and the passion and desire to make Milwaukee a great place is something I am really proud to be a part of.
